A cake smash session is a fun milestone photo shoot for your little one, typically done around their first birthday. It’s all about letting them explore a cake—smash it, eat it, or just squish it with delight (or maybe a little disgust)!

I offer both traditional backdrops and creative setups for the session, but rest assured, it’s all child-led. We’ll go at your little one’s pace, making sure their personality shines through while they have fun. Choose timeless and classic items for their first birthday . Your cake smash photo will be treasured for years to come, so we go with clothing that is timeless and classic. Will you still like what you’re baby is wearing ten, twenty, thirty years from now?

After we have landed on the theme and I have a full understanding of your vision I will put together the rest. My studio is stocked with props and different backdrops that I will use to make your vision come to life. If there are specific props that you want to bring,  please do! I will have the backdrop set up when you arrive and we can make any adjustments with any additional props or accessories you bring  along.  

Trying to decide what your little one will wear for a cake smash session can be challenging. Since this is a cake smash session and it often gets messy, some parents opt for the diaper only look or diaper plus accessories.
