Is a mini session right for me?

An ultra-mini Mini Sessions is exactly what it sounds like: a smaller version of the portrait photo packages we already offer as a photographer. This photo session should only last 10-15 or 20-25 mins based on package. The "ULTRA- MINI" sessions are set up at certain times of the year ie. Sunflower, Valentine, Easter etc. The Mini Sessions can be scheduled at any time based on your family needs. If you’re someone who loves getting family photos taken, you likely know the buzz surrounding these mini sessions. There are others (like me!) who absolutely LOVE them. As a mom of four, I completely understand the appeal to capture some beautiful, professional photos for a lower price point in a faster time frame. Mini sessions can be absolutely incredible both from a business and client standpoint, but they aren’t for everyone. Here are some "Ultra" Mini Sessions we offer when considering and when deciding whether a mini session is right for you and your family.

If you’re booking a mini session hoping for just a couple good photos of your family, this is exactly what they’re intended for. A mini session might be right for you if you just want a few good photos, have a shorter wish list, and are willing to go with the flow of a fast, less predictable time slot. A mini session might be right for you if you’re OK with capturing your kids just as they are, whether that is smiling (or not), climbing, jumping, or everything in between. If I asked you today to send me a photo of you and your kids, what would it look like? I'm guessing it would be a selfie, am I right? Its probably not of you being in the moment and loving on your children but one hand out “cheesing it” for our iPhone camera. Don't you deserve to be the one NOT taking the photo? Do you ever say, here take one of me so that the kids will remember I was even here! More times than not, we as mothers are not in these photos but taking them. It’s your turn to be IN them.

Whether you are a first time mom or have more than one child, YOU deserve to be in those portraits. Just like in those albums of yourself as a child that you love to go through, your kids will want the same thing. Your kids deserve to see YOU in their own baby books.
